Last weekend we had Nikki's wedding shower, which was great fun. My cousin Mary Jo and Aunt Sandy put it on, and like all Genovese events there was good food and lots of laughs! Adding to the laughs were the five women from Ryan's side of the family, who fit in perfectly with our loud, competitive, fun family. For most of the day, Nonni was sandwiched in between them and I think they all got a kick out of each other! Perhaps the highlight was when Nikki unexpectedly got lingerie, it was so funny seeing her hold it up sideways and trying to figure out which ways it goes on (LOL, funniest part was it wasn't that stringy or complicated!) Before the shower, Nikki took Mom and I by Casa Real, since we hadn't seen it yet. In a word: amazing. It's the place that every couple walks into and says "I want to get married HERE!" You'll love it!

This past Saturday, Mike and I went to our friends Kimi and Matt's wedding. We were sad to miss Brina and Erin's wedding, which was the same day in San Diego. Can't wait to see those pics, though (hint, hint, Brina!). Kimi and Matt's wedding was at the Dana Powers house in Nipomo, which is a private-owned, old Victorian house (circa 1882) that has gardens and a beautiful brick patio surrounding it. Another amazing place to get married! Great food, good friends, great music, Appletinis, and hula hoops made for a fantastic wedding! Kimi looked so beautiful (check out the veil, look familiar?), too:
