Currently, my legs form one continuous line from my thighs to my knees down to my ankles. Those of you who know my tree trunk thighs would know this means my knees and ankles are extremely swollen right now. I keep telling Mike that it looks like I have Elephantitis. In reality, I'm suffering from a severe allergic reaction to something I ate at the wedding. I'm thinking Casa Real must have snuck some mushrooms into those butternut squash raviolis. They were delicious, but man, I've been paying the price since Saturday morning. A few months ago I was complaining about having hives for the past year. Let me tell you, my current self is kicking that whiny bitch's ass because those were nothing compared to what I've had the last three days! For half of Saturday and all of Sunday, all I could do was take Benadryl every four hours, resulting in me being pretty much comatose for those 36 hours. I woke up this morning much less itchy but much more swollen. I have a hive the size of a golf ball on the arch of my foot, which makes me limp everywhere, LOL! Thank goodness I was supposed to work from home today! Yesterday I was really worried because I knew I needed to spend at least 10 hours today writing an environmental document that's due on Wednesday - I couldn't figure out what would be worse - taking the Benadryl and writing the document (there goes my raise this year!) or not taking the Benadryl and scratching my way through ten hours of writing. Thankfully, I woke up less itchy.
Death to Mushrooms!
