Rodeo

Now that I brought up the ballet, I thought I'd tell the Cliffs Notes version of our trip to the ballet. Well, neither Mike nor I had even been to a ballet before - it reinforced our prior knowledge that we prefer performances with dialouge. But, I will say this - those dancers are extremely talented! One of Mike's students had been talking about his ballet performance for the entire semester so we decided to go. On our way in, we met the usher who was very friendly (well, probably lonely) and told us all about being single and how he volunteered there to meet women. Sad story - if you know any nice ladies in their fifties, send 'em to the PAC at Cal Poly! Who'd have thought it was a pick-up joint? We made it through the four acts and on our way out, ran into our friends Kimi and Matt, who were there for the same reason (Matt is a high school teacher and his student was performing). Kimi and I can't get over the fact that our significant others dragged us to the ballet, and not vice versa! Mike's student was over the moon that we came, though, and made sure to have his picture taken with Mike. That made it all worth it.
Here's the program flyer, the student made it on the cover (he's the one kneeling!)
